Finally Something Thats Uglier Than You Are :)

FISH. ew. ew. ew. Personally they scare the sense out of me. Nothing frightens me more then almost stepping on a fresh dead fish at the beach.

The worst nightmare's I've had are ones where I have to tip toe throw millions of flopping and dead goldfish in my parents backyard, or the ones where the fish are in the tank and then all of a sudden they're swimming in the air and all I can do it blow on them to keep em away while I back out of the room!!!

The blob fish above don't scare me, I just thought they look fucked up, almost human like with there lazy noses and open eyes. I bet they had nasally voices and said: "I'm hungry and stupid" a lot of the time. Thats why they were caught after all.

Ole bluey to the left of me, SCARY! Hes just floating, eyes open, staring, not blinking, STARING, scaley waiting to brush against your leg when you've finally forgotten about the fish in the lake water.
He's scheming right now. waiting, watching.

ALthough this next fish is artificial, (believe it or not) it was created from the cast of a real one. Its ceramic and was made from another Etsy artist who's shop is made up entirely of different species of fish. PiscesCeramics is the name of this shop thats run by a man who's been fascinated with the underwater world since he was a child. (Complete opposites we are)

I Have Bitten the Rolo Oeuf

Yes thats right. Exactly 2 bites of my HUGEST chocolate thingy ever are sitting in my stomach right now. (At least thats where I hope they went) Speaking of eating candy, the photo below is one I've taken from the shop of another candy eater. Her site is smacshop.etsy.com and if you can't already tell she takes the eeriest of eerie photos. Smacshop is also my newest featured seller...

She really deserves props for turning everyday scenes we take for granted into something more using her camera and mad skills. When you stop by her shop be sure to also check out her Porky, Bathroom Noir and Legs listings.

Sha Blam!

Junk mail can be fun when your a kid and its the only mail your mother hands you. When you grow up and have your own place however, your wrist can get uber sore from having to toss that stuff out.

I highly doubt that I've won $1,000,000 from a Spanish lottery that I never played in. Or that your company that I've never heard of before has any business sending me "urgent" letters.

Well, I bring good news! This creeptaular beauty of a tree to the left of me was made from 100% shredded up junk mail. Not only does this seller get to have the satisfaction of tearing it up, she makes OOAK tree sculptures from it. You can visit Rachael's shop for her sculptures, cards or prints at rdirenna.etsy.com

Biggest Chocolate Ever

Rockabilly? Pinup? Horror? Flapper? the list goes on and on at sweetheartsinner.etsy.com where you can choose from over 1,000 listings. Yes its a little overwhelming but thank God this seller keeps organized sections! I think I made it to page 6 before I decided I had my three most favoritist picked out. The middle one looks like one of the zombies from the movie "Fido"...

Has anyone seen that movie? its a strange one. On a side note I got the HUGEST chocolate thingy for Easter yesterday!! it's a Rolo Egg and I've yet to take a bite. I probably opened its package a few separate times today just to hold it in my hand and be amazed at its size and weight. When the novelty wears off I'm going to need a fork and knife to eat it.

Featured Seller of the Month

Although she looks like a member of the demon dogs tribe, shes actually the creator of Black Orchid Designs. Her name is Scary Kerri and shes been designing for over 10 years making what she calls alternative couture.

Dreads, necklaces, clothing and more can all be found in her Etsy shop. (She even does custom orders!)

Radio Goo Goo, Radio Ga Ga

Believe it or not this photo wasn't even posed. This doll head was found outside an abandoned house by Aztek721's home in Pensacola, Florida. Despite its less than perfect condition, this dolls face looks like its sporting a smile.

...God only knows what she was thinking when she was doing her eyebrows though, can anyone say over plucked?

New Year, New Items

Its been a while since I've posted anything new and until a couple days ago I didn't think that would change. But look!! I toooootally posted a heart necklace today.

I've decided this year will be different. I will post at least once a week and use my Wednesdays to take as many pictures as I can. I'm also going to work on keeping this blog up to date so that one day it may be just as un-ingnored as in the old days. That means changing a couple things... there will be no more using my favorites list as a featured sellers tool, (that was much too hard) and I'm also going to have to make it easier on myself by making my blog a journal first.

So if you see me ignoring this blog or spending too much time in the forums, go to my shop and give me hell!

Dert

Here is one of the weirdest things I've come across in my Etsy searches. It was the item that sparked my first ever treasury and also got the most hits out of the twelve.

Housed in a jar with vintage tags and labels, this dirt comes from the Pere Lachaise Cemeterie in Paris, France. Home to such talents as Jim Morrison, Maria Callas and Oscar Wilde just to name a few. (A better list is can be seen at Aldetha's shop)

This cemetery dirt and other rare oddities are available exclusively through Etsy seller aldetha

Its well worth the click...

Keeping more than the Crows Away

Halloween is coming up fast and theres nothing creepier than a free standing head for your coffee table. This is the second head I've seen in grimvisions Etsy shop but he has more creations to look at on his blog: www.grimvisions.com

If your like me you've probably always wanted to just deck out your front yard and go crazy overboard with the decor for halloween. This head would be a nice starting point... just saying

All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go

Maybe this picture reminds you of seller lousieblack? When I found my first item from fellow Etsian aishiteruhoney, I was so excited to dive into her shop. It did not disapoint. Filled with dark accesories, this shop has alot of great looking items for more than resonable prices.

If i had that hat id only take it off to shower or to scratch my head.

1000 words

Here I've posted a fine art print from irenesuchocki's shop. It captures an older, run down house. I find it interesting how this place was captured during daylight hours with pretty flowers in front but still remains an eerie photo. The black that frames the edges really makes it for me. It's called Past Lives:

There are 6 pages of photos in Irene's shop, each one drawing you in with a different story.

Spotlight on Lampreia

Hooray! Its time for another Featured Seller and this next one goes to... Lampreia!, for turning an already great picture into an even finer work of art. It's one of the first sellers I ever visited on Etsy, and an instant favorite. Theres a good variety of both subject and print size in this shop and the sections make it very easy to navigate.

and guess what else... Lampreia is male! I'm sure theres some folks out there that know what I mean. Its hard to find men on Etsy. They're like pandas in the wild.

If you want to visit this seller go to: www.lampreia.etsy.com

Another Interesting Find

Ever notice the stripes that are easily associated with eerie
characters? hard not to...

Meet Puck.

Puck was created by a an Etsy artist from Brooklyn and if you can't make out the watermark, more of her work can be found at www.silkandbone.etsy.com.

-Would even make a popular baby shower gift for the special someone-

Do You Ever Get The Feeling?

that someones watching you? This necklace reminds me of the movie Hocus Pocus. The magic spell book had an evil eye that would move around and blink. I used to have a crush on that virgin boy who lit the candle. There was a cat with nine lives? does anyone know what movie I'm talking about? It plays every year sometime around Halloween and I watch it just about every time.

This necklace came from the brain of the Etsy Seller,
tinkwitch.

My treasury's pretty much dyeing right now. The first one made it to the page 1, but this ones stuck on page 6 and its time is running out fast!

Not Your Typical Fairy

First of, well done to emerald212's husband who made this Fairy Fossil. There's a couple more different ones available at her Etsy site if you want to put one in your garden or even your home.

I don't know about you, but when I try to picture this guy without skin, I can imagine something that more closely resembles a bug than a fairy.

I'm sure if it were to star in an animated film, it would be the annoying, full of energy, eat with its hands kind of fairy. It's so creepy looking, I had to include it in this blog despite the watermarks.

You will be mine one day creepy fairy fossil. I shall put you on the fence I don't yet have beside the flowers that don't yet exist.

On Sale

I found these earrings in SchroederSisters shop last night while I was searching Etsy. I can't think of a single place I could wear them but I want to own them just the same.

Maybe I could hang them on a christmas tree?
